Scott’s mission at First Citizens Bank is all about harnessing data and AI to secure customers' financial futures. He is focused on making sure the entire enterprise is AI fluent and that core functions like customer 360 are powered by rock-solid data governance. Before this, he spent four years as CIO of Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI at Ally Financial, successfully breaking down data silos and driving efficiency by modernising their core data technology platform.

What truly sets Scott apart is his commitment to making teams effective. He's a certified master of Lean-Agile methodology. As Chief Data Officer at Fannie Mae, he didn't just manage the data; he was the executive champion for a firm-wide Lean-Agile transformation, leading a 1,200+ person organisation. He successfully implemented a scaled Agile methodology that became the firm's gold standard for reducing risk and speeding up delivery. His deep, hands-on understanding of data structure comes from his 13 years at Capital One, where he ran the implementation of the company's first Enterprise Data Warehouse.
